Christmas 2007

Dear Parishioners,

As the Advent night passes quickly once again, we hope with renewed intensity for the coming of the Son of Justice. The long night gives birth to the light. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, Son of God and Son of Mary, in time, the Lord is reborn again for our life and hope. We, our Church, and our world are transformed in his wonderful light.

With reborn hope and renewed joy let us greet one another at this Christmas Season. As we gather for Christmas Eucharist to celebrate the birth of Jesus in time, we remember in faith how we are reborn from death to life, brokenness to wholeness. As Jesus embraced our humanness in the mystery of the Incarnation, he continues to transform our human life and relationships in his grace. Let us embrace our own humanness making it the vehicle of God’s love and mercy among us. Let us share with renewed heart Emmanuel, God-with-us.

As we gather as the worshipping Assembly, let us see anew, let us hear a Word of new hope, let us be fed with the Bread of Life, and feed one another. Let us see and notice God among us in our community. Like the Shepherds let the mystery of God’s Presence embrace us: in the cold and dark night. They saw and felt the presence of Angels, who brought them peace. Like the Wise Men, let the mystery of God enlighten our lives and lead us ever onward.

As we gather in this Christmas-Epiphany Season, I am thankful as you are for the mystery of God among us. During this wonderful Season we can look around with new eyes and hear with new ears the movement of God’s grace in every believer here at CTR.

May your Christmas be filled with the best of God’s gift in Christ – peace and joy.

Sincerely,

Pastor
