Muchas Gracias. Padre Howard
• Maria and Tito Alvarez – These wonderful people (and their kind-hearted family and friends) were in charge of this year’s picnic and did a wonderful job. They donated bikes, household items, soda and food to the cause and then made sure that everyone had a great time. They served food on the buffet line, provided music for our entertainment and generally helped out in every area.
• Joyce Spieler organized all of our outside games and led dozens of assistants that guided our children as they played games, rode the horses and bounced their way through an afternoon of fun in the sun. Joyce helped with the raffle, made lots of signs and even helped out by announcing the picnic details to all of us after Mass one weekend.
• We thank our craft room teachers and our face-painters, the kids loved all the attention. Many thanks to the volunteers that organized our adult and children’s version of musical chairs. The observers had as much fun watching as the participants had playing.
• Parishioners donated and helped serve delicious food from all over the world. The Grupo de Oración donated lots and lots of chicken. The Vietnamese community donated hundreds of egg rolls.
• The Knights of Columbus led by John Reaser, Grand Knight of the K of C Good Samaritan Council grilled 650 burgers and hot dogs to perfection.
• New this year, we were gifted with the talents of Rene Roberts, Message Therapist. People were happy to walk away relaxed and renewed.
• Volunteers worked at the raffle table and organized (and kept cold), hundreds and hundreds of sodas and bottled water.
• Many thanks to the volunteers that did the grunt work, the set-up, the clean-up and the general maintenance of our inside and outside spaces. Thanks for keeping us neat and tidy.
We are thankful for all of you!
