Sometimes we manage to put a good face on parish life here at Christ the Redeemer, but Sunday afternoon we put a great smile among all the participants at the parish picnic.
• Thanks to all for the groaning tables set with wonderful food of all kind. In addition to the picnic luncheon thanks for a calorie free dessert layout.
• Thanks to the participants in the children’s games, the pony rides, and the real hit of the day, the musical chairs.
• Thanks for the very efficient set-up and clean-up for the event.
• Everyone helped to make an enjoyable and fun experience. Under such an event there are special people who take care of every detail.
• Special thanks to: Tito and Maria Alvarez and their family for being at the center of the storm of activities, Sandra Gonzalez for her efforts with our many sponsors, Joyce Spieler for the groundwork for the children’s games, Donna Ata for being a staff presence among the many workers.
• Thanks to the Knights of Columbus, Good Samaritan Council, for slaving over the hot coals while flipping burgers and cooking hotdogs.
