What better way to "love thy neighbor" than to give someone the gift of life—a blood donation. Our third blood drive of 2010 will be on Saturday, August 7, 7:00 am-12:30 pm in Atonement Hall. There is an urgent need for types O and B negative.

Did You Know??

A donation is one unit. The average person has 10-12 units.

The body begins replenishing the lost fluid and red cells at once after donating.

Blood has a shelf life of 42 days and donors can give only every 56 days. As a result, there is a critical lapse between the time when blood expires and donors can donate again.

200 people or more MUST donate blood daily so Inova Blood Donor Services can meet the demand for blood products in the communities they serve.
