One Faith, One Lord Religious Education

If your child is preparing for Confirmation but is unable to enter into regular Religious Education for Grades 7-12 because he or she has little Religious Education background, was not enrolled in Religious Education the previous year, or is preparing for First Eucharist as well as Confirmation, you should enroll your child in a class that uses the One Faith, One Lord textbook. The textbook and classes are available in both English and Spanish.

These classes are usually offered on Sunday or Monday evenings at the same time as regular Religious Education classes. Since sacramental preparation is a two year process proceed as follows:

Year One: Enrollment in a Sunday or Monday One Faith, One Lord class.
Year Two: Enrollment in next Religious Education Grade. Begin sacramental preparation meetings with parents.

Celebrate Confirmation (or Confirmation and First Eucharist)
in the Fall after Year Two is completed.

Example with a Grade 9 Youth: This fall enroll in One Faith, One Lord (Year One). Next fall, enroll in Grade 10 Religious Education (Year Two). Celebrate Confirmation in the fall after Grade 10.
