Abstinence from meat is to be observed on all Fridays within the season of Lent and Passiontide and on Ash Wednesday. As in the rest of our living, we continue with preventive measures here at CTR: <p><blockquote>+ Hand washing is the best starting place. Our restrooms are now equipped with soap and with hand sanitizers. Please use them and see that children wash their hands. <p>+ If you are ill at home, common sense and concern for others would dictate that you stay away from church while you are sick. <p>+ Sanitizers are available for our Eucharistic Ministersbefore Mass and in church before communion. <p>+ While respecting the option to receive communion by mouth or in the hand, reception in the hand would be a courtesy to the priests and ministers. They do wish to avoid contact with other people’s mouth. <p>+ The Eucharistic Cup remains an option. If you do not wish to receive from the Cup, simply refrain and return to your seat. If you are not feeling well yourself, please refrain from taking the Cup. <p>+ The Greeting of Peace is an option before communion. You may participate in your own way and respect should be shown to others in their choices. <p>+ On coming and going in church, the community is free to make their personal choices of shaking hands or not. <p>+ You will notice that the ministers and priests use a sanitizer after communion. The chalices are washed with hot, soapy water after each Mass. <p>+ Hand sanitizers are available in the nursery and in the religious education classrooms.
