The promotion of the culture of life should be the highest priority in our societies...If the right to life is not defended decisively as a condition for all other rights of the person, all other references to human rights remain deceitful and illusory."
St. John Paul II
"The fundamental human right, the presupposition of every other right, is the right to life itself. This is true of life from the moment of conception until its natural end. Abortion, consequently, cannot be a human right -- it is the very opposite. It is a deep wound in society." - Pope Benedict XVI
“All life has inestimable value even the weakest and most vulnerable, the sick, the old, the unborn and the poor, are masterpieces of God’s creation, made in his own image, destined to live forever, and deserving of the utmost reverence and respect.” Pope Francis – Message to Catholics taking part in annual Day for Life in Britain and Ireland July 28, 2013
To empower our parishioners to be ever mindful of LIFE – a precious gift to us from God. We
will promote a “culture of life” at Christ the Redeemer and throughout the community in
accordance with the teachings of the holy Catholic Church. We will accomplish this through–
Love – to share Jesus Christ’s universal message, “love one another as I have loved you.” To be
of service to others in need through outreach and advocacy programs.
Information – to educate our parishioners reinforcing the idea that every human life – from
conception to natural death – is sacred and has equal dignity.
Faith – to follow the Word of God and lead others to the Truth through the good news of the
Gospel and other scriptures. Strengthening our resolve through prayer, penance, sacrifice and
the grace of the Holy Spirit.
Enlightenment – to be a joyful witness for Jesus Christ. To spread Christ’s message while being patient, peaceful and prayerful knowing that conversion is God’s work and we are his messengers.
